Welcome to the Official website of Tranent Colts Football Club. The Club, in its current format, was founded in April 1998 with 14 kids and has now grown to a reasonable size with 12 teams and over 160 kids playing football at different levels from fun 4s to soccer sevens and competitive 11 a-sides. The Club continues to flourish with the dedication of coaches, parents and the kids themselves and continues to provide a valuable service to children and youths within the local communtiy and surrounding areas.
The Club are proud to be the 1st Club in East Lothian to receive the prestigious SFA Quality Mark Development Award
At present our U7s & U8s play football 4s and our U9s, U10s (x4), U11s & U12s (x2) soccer sevens teams participate in the East of Scotland and East Lothian Development Associations with the remaining 2 teams playing 11 a-side football competing in the SYFA Eastern Region Leagues at U13s & U14s age groups.
Season 2009/10 sees the Club entering its 11th year as it continues to grow and develop into a well run Club and has now attained the 2nd level of the SFA Quality Mark Award for the benefit of its playing and coaching members - keep watching this website for updates and further information.
Tranent Colts FC always strive to further develop the Club and its members (both coaches and players) and our continued committment to attaining the SFA Quality Mark highlights the Clubs dedication to ensuring our high standards and objectives are maintained.
The Club would not function properly without the current team of volunteer coaches and helpers, however, the Club are always on the look out for more enthusiastic people to join our ever expanding organisation. So, if you would like to get more involved with the Club, whether it be coaching a new age group or helping an existing age group, then please contact us and let us know........you never know how much you'll enjoy it until you try!!
